Pontymister Athletic made the short journey over the valley to Machen on Wednesday evening, with a mix of experience and new players on show. It was a good opportunity for our fringe players to stake a claim for a first team spot Machen, however, were eager to demonstrate how they have improved this season and ran out victors by 67-54 – 12 points to 2.
The end of season is fast approaching and the game finished in poor light with our only points coming from the rink of Jack Collier. Our other rinks were competitive, but on the night Machen deserved their win.
We would like to thank Machen for their hospitality and wish them well for the rest of the campaign.
